  Definition

Shiatsu is a traditional Japanese pressure therapy involving energetic flow between the therapist and the patient. Although the term Shiatsu is translated as finger-pressure, the therapist usually uses the whole weight of his or her body for the treatment. As Shiatsu is a holistic approach to therapy, diagnosis and treatment is combined and it is therefore also known as a traditional Japanese hands-on healing art.
